Qualicare Edmonton East is seeking Health Care Aides to support clients in Millwoods and surrounding areas with compassionate, home-based care. Flexible hours, casual part-time shifts, and a family-like team environment are offered to help you balance work and life.

We welcome international nurses and nursing students who want to make a meaningful difference in clients’ daily lives. Training, PPE, and ongoing development are provided to ensure safety and growth within the role.

Qualifications

• Health Care Aide Certificate or foreign-trained nursing degree, or be a current nursing student.
• Alberta HCA Directory registration (or ability to register).
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable car.
• A kind heart and a desire to help others.

Responsibilities

• Helping with personal care like bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Preparing meals and helping with light cleaning.
• Assisting with medication administration
• Accompaniment on errands or on appointments
• Providing friendly companionship and conversation
• Supporting clients as they move around safely
• Following a care plan and documenting care
