Russell Hendrix Foodservice Equipment in Edmonton is seeking a Distribution Centre Manager to lead a fast‑paced operation, drive performance, and own the financial outcomes of the DC. This senior role demands a hands‑on leader capable of building high‑performing teams and delivering superior service.

You will manage people, operations, and budgets, collaborating with senior leaders to optimize KPI results and ensure timely order fulfillment across Canada.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in a distribution centre or warehouse environment.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Experience managing warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, inventory, and fulfillment.
• Experience with budget management and KPI accountability.
• Post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Set clear performance expectations and routinely measure team performance.
• Provide regular coaching and feedback with investment in team strengths.
• Mentor and actively manage team growth and development.
• Recruit and hire qualified team members with Human Resources.
• Ensure staffing levels meet operational demands and schedule assignments.
• Oversee reception, handling, distribution, and storage of freight and supplies.
• Ensure orders are shipped to customers on time according to delivery schedules.
• Monitor daily warehouse workflow and assist where needed.
• Communicate regularly with senior management about volume, issues, and system changes.
• Maintain relationships with freight carriers and act as primary warehouse contact.
• Address warehouse issues and escalate as needed; ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with Inventory Controller to address inventory concerns.
• Review daily measurement reports and address errors with the team.
• Take ownership of DC KPI objectives and identify efficiencies with leadership.
