Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) seeks an Editor to plan, organize and manage content for the newspaper, military community guidebook and newsletter. You will coordinate coverage with base units and Public Affairs Officers, and ensure integration with social media and advertising content.

You will build contacts, stay informed about CAF publications, and collaborate with corporate services and the sales rep to align messaging and content strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or a related discipline AND some years of experience
  • In planning, organizing and coordinating newspaper publications

Responsibilities

  • You will establish as many contacts as possible, stay informed about other CAF publications, and also foreign press material.
  • You will ensure the integration of the newspaper and the various communications across social media and in collaboration with corporate services and the independent sales representative to ensure the advertising content.

THE ROLE

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses


Bachelors’ degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or a related discipline AND some years of experience

OTHER INFORMATION

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.


PSP:Keep our Canadian Armed Forces operationally ready and their families and military community healthy as part of the team at Personnel Support Programs. Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.
