The incumbent will be responsible for renewals of all GB Small Business Alpha cases and Signature cases up to 50 lives from the first renewal onwards, working with Account Executives (AEs), Small Business (SB) Director, Renewal Underwriters, and other staff in the RGO. Supports the AEs in building and maintaining successful advisor relationships.
Position Responsibilities:
- Prepares, sends, manages, and negotiates renewals with plan advisors.
- Prioritizes and monitors renewal workload by assigned case(s) and advisor.
- Accesses various internal systems for previous renewals, claims history, and other reports.
- Adjusts renewal rates upwards or downwards depending on case and advisor, applies Discretionary Spending Account (DSA).
- Suggests plan design options.
- Handles renewal appeals and advisor marketing appeals working with renewal Underwriter.
- Assists advisors with selling the renewal.
- Handles cost negotiations with advisors on renewals.
- Follows up with advisors on renewals.
- Tracks terminations and documents reasons for not being able to renew.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of renewal processes and underwriting.
- Good knowledge of Group Benefits products, services, pricing, and cost control.
- Familiar with industry trends and advisor requirements.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasive communication skills.
- Ability to coach and assist plan advisors effectively.

- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders with different priorities.
- Ability to work with advisors with varying degrees of maturity and product understanding.
- Managing competing or fluctuating priorities and deliverables.
