Job Description:

Reporting to the Associate Manager of Translation Services, you will translate and revise texts translated internally or externally (from English into French) in all TD businesses, specifically in corporate communications, insurance and technology, by using translation tools (memoQ) judiciously to ensure the quality and consistency in translated documents and to hit the productivity goals for your level.

Key Accountabilities
  • Help manage long-term or one-time translation projects
  • Ensure the tone and style of translated documents follow the brand guidelines
  • Conduct terminological research to produce high-quality translations, and add to the terminological database by creating records
  • Train less experienced translators in translation issues and challenges
  • Serve as a source of expert advice for internal partners and external suppliers
  • Work with internal partners and other members of the Translation Services to produce quality turnkey translations
  • Meet or exceed service level agreements
  • Able to work under pressure, and manage emergencies and priorities

Education
  • B.A. with specialization in English-to-French translation or equivalent training

Experience
  • At least five years of experience in translation and two years of experience in revision in a structured work environment, specializing in banking

Full proficiency of French and English language nuances in your team's field of specialty - corporate communications, insurance and technology.

Technology - Be familiar with request management and translation tools; knowledge of FlowFit and memoQ is a definite asset.

Ability to work effectively under pressure, independently and in a team; interest in special assignments.

Membership in OTTIAQ is an asset.
