Administrative Assistant-Recruitment | Light Industrial

Can-Tech Services is looking for a Quality Coordinator for one of our Manufacturing clients in the North York area.

The position is a Full-Time, Permanent Position with Full Benefits on a Day Shift.

Pay Rate is up to $55,000 annually with all the benefits.

The Quality Coordinator is accountable for controlling Quality Assurance processes, as well as ensuring that single component products and sub-assemblies are in accordance with the customers’ Quality Standards. This position is also responsible for actively participating in the establishment of process control procedures and parameters, and providing general support to the company's Manufacturing Operations on quality related activities.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate day to day Q.A. activities in conjunction with Production, Engineering and Purchasing Departments.
  • Practical knowledge on the use of inspection instruments, gages and devices for successful analysis of parts and assemblies.
  • Travel to customer / job sites as required to identify and / or resolve quality issues.
  • Control of Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment, Inspection and Test Status, Control of Quality Records and Internal Auditing.
  • Practical knowledge of PPAP submission.
  • Coordinate and maintain calibration activities in accordance with ISO 9001 / 14001 standards.
  • Monitor the employees receive the required training pertaining to Quality Assurance.
  • Summarize and prepare reports related to Quality Assurance.
  • Collect and analyze data pertaining to the customers complaint process.
  • Meet objectives and targets set by management.
  • Understand ISO 9001 / 14001 procedures and instructions and the relationship of then- duties to the quality of the product.
  • Assist in preparing and implementing procedures required to conduct effective inspections that are in accordance with ISO 9001 / 14001.
  • Coordinate, run and maintain the corrective / preventive action system.
  • Interface with customers and necessary personnel to ensure the effectiveness of the Quality System.
  • Initiate reports for rejected raw material and coordinate with Material Manager, Production Manager as well as suppliers to obtain material in a quicker fashion.

Qualifications :

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Good knowledge of ISO 9001 / 14001 Management Systems.
  • Solid negotiating, communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent team-oriented problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple duties & tasks.
  • Report any incidents, injuries requiring first aid, health care, lost-time injuries or occupational diseases.
  • Identify and report any hazard(s) in their workplace.
  • Use equipment, materials and machinery only as authorized.
  • Follow general safety rules and apply EHS training knowledge.
  • College Quality Assurance Diploma or Certificate degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
