Job summary

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is seeking an Echocardiographer for all sites. The role involves diagnostic testing, supporting physicians with cardiac diagnoses, and rotating across General, Birchmount, and Centenary sites.

The position includes Saturday shifts and vacation coverage for full-time staff. Candidates must be a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer with ARDMS certification, current BCLS, and at least one year of clinical experience, including Doppler and Dobutamine Stress; TEE

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer with ARDMS certification.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Minimum of one year clinical experience in echocardiography.
• Experience with Doppler techniques and Dobutamine Stress.
• Clinical experience with TEE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic testing and assist physicians in diagnosing cardiac disorders.

Job Description

Position Overview

Reporting to the Manager, the Echocardiographer will provide diagnostic testing and assist physicians in the diagnosis of patients with cardiac and associated disorders. This position will work Saturdays and provide vacation coverage for full time staff.

This position involves rotating between General Site, Birchmount Site, and Centenary Site.

Requirements

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
• ARDMS certification
• Current certification in BCLS
• Minimum of one year clinical experience
• Clinical experience with TEE
• Experienced in Doppler techniques including Dobutamine Stress
• Ability to work independently in fast paced, team setting
• Demonstrates values consistent with SHN’s Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation
• Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to SHN's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety, and environmental safety and participates in regular in-service education in this area.
