Job summary

Na̱mǥis Community Services is seeking an Early Childhood Development Manager to lead the ECD Team, delivering child and family services for ages 0-12 in a culturally grounded framework. Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education; ECE certificate asset.
• Experience with Indigenous children, families, and/or Indigenous communities.
• Valid First Aid certification.
• Clear criminal record check related to working with children and vulnerable adults.
• Experience with community engagement and strong interpersonal relationship-building.
• Experience in program and event planning.
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of ECD services for children 0-12 and families.
• Plan, develop, and implement early childhood programs and activities.
• Monitor, evaluate, and adjust programs to meet funding obligations and community needs.
• Promote family and community engagement, including on- and off-reserve access.
• Support staff development through training and professional growth.
• Build partnerships with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community agencies.
• Promote programs through social media, newsletters, and events.
• Monitor budgets and financials in consultation with the Director.
• Provide administrative support to ensure program success.
