Job description

A career as a Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering Advisor in the Wealth Management team at National Bank involves acting as an expert to ensure regulatory compliance and support teams in proactively managing risks related to money laundering and terrorist financing. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your analytical skills and knowledge of AML regulations to make a positive impact.

Your Role

  • Ensure the implementation of regulatory requirements and initiatives related to anti-money laundering in the wealth management sector.
  • Maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance, currency, and alignment with business needs.
  • Provide advisory support to business lines.
  • Assist teams in managing high-risk clients proactively.
  • Collaborate on developing new products and initiatives in compliance with AML / ATF standards.
  • Create and present compliance dashboards and reports for management.
  • Develop training materials for staff.
  • Participate in AML / ATF monitoring, establish governance processes, and ensure compliance with sanctions regulations.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in financial crime, law, accounting, or related fields.
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in the securities industry.

Languages : Proficiency in required languages is necessary to collaborate effectively with colleagues outside Quebec.
