JOB SUMMARY :

We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Manager at our Dundas facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager and leading the maintenance team, the Maintenance Manager oversees maintenance operations, focusing on health and safety, costs, personnel development, and stakeholder satisfaction. The role involves collaboration with the Plant Operations Committee and other department heads.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Manage the maintenance department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, fostering positive relationships.
2. Lead and support the Maintenance Supervisor and team in maintaining plant equipment to meet quality and efficiency standards.
3. Participate in investigations, inspections, audits, and safety programs, promoting a safety-focused culture.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations, including environmental and safety requirements.
5. Develop, maintain, and ensure adherence to HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and procedures within the Maintenance department.
6. Manage work scheduling, reporting, budgeting, and cost reduction initiatives.
7. Collaborate on continuous improvement projects and staff development plans.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

REQUIREMENTS :

1. Educational background in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or related experience.
2. Millwright or Electrician license is an asset.
3. Minimum of 10 years leading a maintenance department.
4. Knowledge of safety, HACCP, CFIA, MOECC regulations.
5. Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational skills.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with 5S and Lean methodologies is an asset.
7. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

1. Ability to perform essential job functions safely and meet productivity standards.
2. Physical ability to walk, climb, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform other physical tasks as needed.
