Overview Of The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to lead and guide enterprise-level system implementations, with a focus on healthcare solutions for a hybrid position in Fredericton, New Brunswick. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in architectural design and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
This opportunity is open to both Full time salaried employees and Independent Contractors.
What You’ll Be Doing In The Role
- Lead architectural design for complex enterprise-level implementations with a strong focus on healthcare solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Oversee the creation of technical deliverables and ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Provide thought leadership and architectural guidance for transformational projects.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on best practices and innovative approaches tailored to New Brunswick’s healthcare environment.
Mandatory
- A minimum of 10 years of Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) experience.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Lead Technical or Solution Architect for medium to large system development or Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) implementation projects within the last decade.
- Proven ability to lead teams of specialists on large or complex enterprise implementations, with at least 5 years of experience.
- Extensive experience in the architectural design and implementation of large-scale solutions, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing technical deliverables.
- Proven experience working on cross-organizational projects with multi-vendor teams for a minimum of 5 years.
- Demonstrated success in leading transformational projects requiring innovative business and architectural approaches.
- Expertise in both legacy and modern architecture frameworks.
- A university degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Good To Have
- Proven ability to manage and lead teams of specialists, technical analysts, and programmers on IT development projects.
- Demonstrated experience in handling large complex projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical design and technical requirements gathering sessions and experience in review of existing systems, technology and solutions and performing technical and solution due diligence.
- Strong background in developing architecture and associated deliverables as required under enterprise architectural frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience standing up and delivering enterprise solutions/services, providing experience on maintainability and long-term lifecycles that extend beyond initial implementation.
- In-depth experience in solution analysis and delivery, including the evaluation of custom-built solutions, COTS, adapted COTS, SaaS, and PaaS options.
- Demonstrated experience in transformational projects acting as an architect with proven capabilities mentoring technical teams.
- Demonstrated hands on experience as an architect in the eHealth space.
- Demonstrated experience working with eHealth Standards Based Messaging, including HL7 V2, V3 and FHIR.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
