Position: IT Solution Delivery Manager

Rogers Communications seeks an IT Solution Delivery Manager to lead project planning and delivery for the Rogers Business unit. Reporting to a Senior Manager, Solution Delivery within Business IT, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of solutions that meet key business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with various Rogers Business teams (including Business Systems, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service Operations, and Planning) to manage project scope within budget and timeline constraints, develop IT solutions, and realistic delivery plans.
  2. Engage with IT Demand Management to assemble project teams from Architecture, Infrastructure, Information Security, PMO, Application Development (both waterfall and agile), Testing, and Operations.
  3. Represent business stakeholders in IT discussions and vice versa.
  4. Contribute to solution design processes through JAD sessions and reviews.
  5. Play the Project Manager and/or Business Analyst role depending on resource availability.
  6. Coordinate efforts to resolve issues and conflicts, escalating to senior management when necessary.
  7. Align projects with business and IT roadmaps.
  8. Promote quality, innovation, customer experience, teamwork, and open communication.
  9. Build trusted relationships across the organization.
Qualifications:
  1. Experience in a corporate IT environment, preferably in telecommunications and B2B contexts.
  2. Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences at all levels.
  3. Leadership and collaboration skills including teamwork, organization, adaptability, influence without authority, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  4. Ability to learn Rogers Business products and operations to understand IT requirements.
  5. Consultant mindset with experience in project planning, cost estimation, and forecasting.
  6. Experience with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).
  7. Ability to write and evaluate IT requirements for quality and completeness.
  8. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  9. Experience managing vendors, RFPs, and SOWs.
  10. Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field; certifications like PMP, CBAP, or Agile are assets.

Additional Details

This is a hybrid role, requiring three days in-office at Barlow 2400 32 Ave NE, Calgary, AB. You may choose your in-office days.
