Job overview

As a Pythian Service Delivery Manager, you will ensure that our managed services meet customer expectations through effective resource management, service quality monitoring, and process improvement. Your role will be vital in maintaining customer satisfaction, retention, and organizational success.

Key responsibilities
  1. Customer Relationship Management: Act as the primary contact for clients, understanding their needs and translating services into business value.
  2. Service Delivery Oversight: Manage end-to-end service delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
  3. Resource Management: Collaborate with technical managers for optimal resource allocation and forecasting.
  4. Quality & Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and SLAs, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. Team Leadership: Coordinate across technical teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  6. Risk and Issue Management: Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and handle escalations.
  7. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain documentation and generate performance reports.
  8. Customer Growth: Work with account teams to expand client engagement.
Minimum qualifications
  • Extensive experience in customer experience and project management.
  • Knowledge of ITIL certifications.
  • Technical IT background (e.g., Cloud, QA, Software Development, DBA).
  • Proven leadership of senior technical teams and enterprise PMO experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience presenting to C-level executives.
  • Understanding of project lifecycles, SDLC, and Agile frameworks.
  • Experience managing large-scale programs and driving cost efficiencies.
  • Optional certifications: PMP, Prince2, Lean/Six Sigma.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field preferred.
  • 10+ years managing strategic initiatives, 5+ years with senior management.
  • Familiarity with Cloud services and architecture patterns.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work remotely.
