Our client is a reputable real estate organization seeking a Senior Property Accountant responsible for managing the full-cycle day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, with a strong background in property management accounting and excellent communication skills.

About the Opportunity?

• Manage full monthly accounting cycle including journal entries, financial statements, variance analysis, and reporting
• Review bank reconciliations, HST returns, payable and receivable batches, chargeback invoices
• Maintain and update data in the accounting system (building, unit, tenant, vendor, budget)
• Ensure accuracy of tenant ledgers and resolve billing differences promptly
• Assist property management and other departments with accounting information
• Liaise with property accountants and other stakeholders
• Handle tenant and vendor inquiries
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports
• Prepare year-end reconciliations and annual budgets
• Supervise junior accounting staff
• Contribute to other projects as needed

About You?

• CPA qualification, enrollment, or equivalent
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and accounting software; Yardi experience a plus
• Minimum 3 years in property management accounting
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, self-management, and prioritization abilities
• Team player with a strong sense of responsibility

Salary Range?

$80,000 - $95,000/year
