Your Job

Eco-Tec, A Kovalus Separation Solutions Company, is looking for an HR Assistant – Intern or Co-op student in our Pickering, ON location. We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented HR Assistant Intern or Co-op student to support our HR Manager in various HR projects and daily activities. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain handson experience in HR automation, global HR policies, and processes.

Support HR Manager for Canada, India, Singapore & China HR.

What You Will Do (Job Responsibilities)

  • Support the HR Manager in the implementation and monitoring of HR automation initiatives.
  • Assist in the development, review, and communication of global HR policies and processes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to collect and analyze HR data for process improvements.
  • Manage employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support in employee onboarding, offboarding, and other employee lifecycle activities.
  • Assist with employee queries and escalate issues to the HR Manager as necessary.
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events.
  • Maintain compliance with local employment laws and company policies.
  • Thing out of box for HR initiatives and ideas to improve Kovalus culture.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Education o Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in Human Resources and willingness to learn.
  • Experience o 1 to 3 years of experience in the HR domain would be an asset. Skills o Excellent verbal and written communication skills. o Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. o Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Software Knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). o ADP WFN, ADP Celergo, Payworks.
