Job summary

Learn. Develop.Succeed. is seeking an Early Years Instructor in East Vancouver to deliver the Early RISErs program for children ages 3 to 6 and their families.

You will collaborate with educators, therapists, and researchers to provide play-based, neuroaffirming instruction in a nurturing preschool setting. Responsibilities include facilitating activities, supporting social-emotional development, and modeling caregiver strategies.

Qualifications

• Licensed ECE with registry or equivalent qualification preferred.
• BC Certified Teacher with early years focus or special education
• Behavioral Interventionist certification or BCBA preferred
• Specialist training in literacy or Orton-Gillingham is a plus
• Experience with SLP/OT supports is valuable
• Experience with diverse preschool-aged children and families
• Ability to obtain a criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening
• Eligibility to work in Canada

Responsibilities

• Foster relationships with children and supporting adults to create a safe, collaborative learning environment.
• Lead and facilitate daily program activities (free play, circle time, movement, snacks, learning).
• Support children through transitions, sensory needs, and self-regulation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan developmentally appropriate programming.
• Share practical strategies with caregivers to support participation and growth.
• Contribute to classroom setup, takedown, and safe, organized learning spaces.
• Participate in team debriefs and record observations for program planning.
• Uphold procedures and policies under Senior Manager guidance.
