Job summary

Family Day Care Services in the Bayview Hill area seeks an Assistant Teacher to support EC.E. in delivering an Early Learning and Development program for children aged 0–12, under the CCEYA and local guidelines.

The role pairs with an EC.E. to implement High/Scope and other language/learning programs; requires prior childcare experience, strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to inclusive practice. Hours are 7 am–6 pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in a child care centre or educational setting.
• Knowledge of best practices in early learning and childcare.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Awareness of diversity and social inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Support High/Scope educational approach implementation.
• Assist in developing program plans reflecting children’s interests.
• Participate in planning, evaluation, and observation of progress.
• Support individual program plans for children with special needs.
• Maintain safe, clean activity areas and comply with safety standards.
