Job summary

Kids & Company is seeking a compassionate Part‑Time Early Childhood Educator (Level 2 or 3) for our Central Edmonton location. Shift is 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, at Central Edmonton site.

Responsibilities include documenting activities, delivering developmentally appropriate programs, and supporting children's growth with families and colleagues. Candidate must hold Alberta ECE Level 2 or 3, provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector, and possess First Aid/CPR.

Qualifications

• Alberta ECE Level 2 or Level 3 Certification required.
• Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
• Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR certification.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Previous childcare experience is asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and record keeping.
• Implement engaging and developmentally appropriate programming based on children's interests and needs.
• Support children's emotional, physical, social, and cognitive development.
• Conduct attendance tracking and health and safety checks.
• Collaborate with families and external professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists, as required.
• Support children through daily routines and transitions.
• Ensure compliance with Alberta licensing regulations and maintain required educator-to-child ratios.
• Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment.
