Job summary

BrightPath Early Learning & Child Care in Maple Ridge, BC, is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator (Infant/Toddler) to partner with teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home for children aged 6 weeks to 3 years. You’ll implement BrightPath’s curriculum, support well-being, and collaborate with families for ongoing progress.

You will maintain a safe, clean classroom, attend staff meetings, and contribute to professional development while enjoying a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Educator Infant Toddler Certificate (ECE).
• Must meet British Columbia childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Up-to-date immunization and health assessment as per local health authorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an age-appropriate program for infants and toddlers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Assess children's abilities and discuss progress with families and staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development as needed.
• Support classroom organization and materials upkeep.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator (Infant/Toddler), you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children ages 6 weeks - 3 years old in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath's curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
