Job summary

BrightPath Kids Creekside, AB is seeking an Early Childhood Educator - Level 1 to 3 to work closely with teachers and families. You will help provide a home-like setting and implement BrightPath’s curriculum to support child development.

You will collaborate with staff, maintain a safe learning environment, assess progress, and participate in ongoing professional development. This role offers part-time hours with no evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• ECE Level 1 Certification or B.Ed./Equivalent required.
• Must meet provincial childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a program aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum to support children’s development.
• Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
• Assessing children’s abilities, interests, and needs and discussing progress with parents and staff.
• Collaborating with coworkers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development as needed.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator - Level 1, 2 or 3, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.


• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.


• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.


• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.


• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.


• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.


• Other duties as assigned.
