The Haisla Nation is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to create a nurturing learning environment for children. This role involves developing educational programs that incorporate cultural teachings and monitoring children's growth, while fostering positive relationships with families. Job Overview
Reporting to the Manager, Daycare, the Early Childhood Educator (Lead) is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for the youngest members of the Haisla Nation community. This includes creating and implementing developmentally appropriate programs that promote the children’s cognitive, emotional and social growth, incorporating the x̄áʼislak̓ala language, stories, songs, and practices; monitoring and documenting the children’s development and adjusting programs as needed to meet individual needs; and communicating with parents about the children’s progress and any concerns. The Early Childhood Educator collaborates with parents, families, and other educators to foster the holistic development and well-being of infants, toddlers, nursery, and preschool-aged children, laying a strong foundation for their future learning and growth.

We are about 2023+ people, with approximately 700 living in Kitamaat Village.
