BrightPath Kids in Maple Ridge, BC is seeking an Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our caring team. This casual on-site role supports ECEs and helps create a home-away-from-home environment for children. You will work alongside teachers and families to nurture growth and well-being.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Assistant Certification required.
• Must meet provincial childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment as per local Health Ministry requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist ECEs and ITs with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for children.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Assist with maintaining and organizing classroom materials.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting ECE’s and IT’s with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
