Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Child Development, Social Work, Special Education or a related field with a focus on behavior analysis or intervention.
• Minimum of 4 years of direct experience with young children (ages 3-6) with behavioral challenges.
• Certification or eligibility for BCBA/BCaBA or equivalent behavior intervention training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments for young children with developmental or behavioral concerns.
• Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings.
• Implement evidence-based strategies to help children manage emotions, social skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Provide direct therapy in center-based and potential home-visit settings.
• Coach and train parents and caregivers in behavior management techniques.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate behavioral support in classrooms.
• Monitor progress and maintain detailed records; adjust plans as needed.
• Facilitate social skills groups to promote positive peer interactions.
• Stay current with research and best practices in early childhood behavior and mental health.
• Serve as a resource for families and educators in Kimberley regarding early childhood behavior.
