Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Oakville, ON is hiring an Early Childhood Assistant to work alongside teachers and families, helping create a warm, home-like environment for children in our care.

You will support RECEs, assist in classroom instruction, maintain safety and cleanliness, and collaborate with families. This full-time role offers a stable schedule with no evenings or weekends and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School/Equivalent required; Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist RECEs with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for children.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Establish collaborative relationships with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $17.60 - $18per hour, Government Wage Enhancement offered on top of hourly rate for Full-Time staff

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting RECE’s with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
