Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Mississauga is hiring an Early Childhood Assistant to work alongside teachers and families, providing a welcoming classroom for children. The role includes assisting RECEs, maintaining safety, and supporting daily activities while engaging with families.

This full-time position offers no evenings or weekends, a wage range of $17.95–$19.00 per hour with a government wage enhancement, and a benefits package including a childcare discount, health coverage, and RRSP matching.

Qualifications

• High School/Equivalent required; Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting RECEs with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintain an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Establish collaborative relationships with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

Early Childhood Assistant - you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting RECE's with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
