Job summary

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is seeking friendly kitchen staff to support all food preparation and service in our busy kitchens. You will clean, prep ingredients, stock outlets, and help maintain a safe, organized workspace.

The role offers part-time hours (24–40 per week, weather permitting), a competitive hourly wage, mountain access perks, staff discounts, employee events, and a positive team atmosphere. Previous kitchen experience is an asset and Food Safe certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and ensure kitchen equipment and dishwashing areas are in good working order.
• Maintain adequate levels of cutlery, dishware and glassware and deliver to outlets.
• Keep workspace clean and safe at all times.
• Demonstrate commitment to guest and coworker expectations daily.
• Manage sustainability systems; sort and transport recycling and garbage.
• Prepare ingredients and simple dishes such as salads.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
• Work flexible shifts, part time 24–40 hours per week, weather permitting.

Job description

You Will

• Ensure that all equipment in the kitchens and dish washing areas are clean and in good working condition, reporting any deficiencies.
• Ensure adequate levels of cutlery, dishware and glassware are in stock and delivered to all necessary outlets.
• Maintain a clean and safe work space.
• Demonstrate a commitment to exceeding guest and coworker expectations on a daily basis.
• Manage our sustainability systems, ensuring recycling and garbage are sorted and transported to the appropriate facilities.
• Clean, measure and prepare cooking ingredients and simple dishes such as salads.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
• Work flexible shifts with varying hours, primarily working part time between 24 to 40 hours per week, weather permitting.

You Have

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• The physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, perform manual tasks, and stand for extended periods.
