Job summary

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is seeking seasonal staff for part-time roles to take guest orders, process payments, and maintain a inviting dining area at the mountain. You will join a friendly team in a busy, guest-focused setting.

Flexible shifts 24–40 hours weekly, weather permitting, with mountain access perks and a supportive work culture. Training provided and safety first in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Serving It Right or equivalent liquor certification.
• Experience in customer service and cash handling.
• Proficiency with Point-of-Sale software.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Snow sports ability to access mid-mountain location.
• OFA Level 3 certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Take and enter guest food and beverage orders accurately and timely.
• Perform cash handling duties including opening, balancing, and closing.
• Clean and stock dining area for a pleasant guest environment.
• Support guests with information about events and locations.
• Assist with seasonal opening/closure procedures.
• Follow safety policies and participate in safety program.
• Work flexible shifts 24–40 hours per week, weather permitting.

Job description

You Will

• Take and enter guest food & beverage orders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform all cash handling duties (opening, cash balancing, coin orders and closing).
• Clean and stock the dining area to provide a pleasant environment for our guests.
• Demonstrate a commitment to exceeding guests’ expectations on a daily basis.
• Provide information or assistance to guests (special events, conditions, locations, products).
• Perform related duties as requested by Team Leads and Managers.
• Participate in season open and closure procedures.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and actively participate in the health and safety program.
• Work flexible shifts with varying hours, primarily working part time between 24 to 40 hours per week, weather permitting.

You Have

• Serving It Right or another responsible service of liquor certificate.
• Previous experience in customer service and cash handling.
• Proficiency with Point-of-Sale software.
• The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• The physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• The resilience to work in extreme mountain weather conditions (rain, snow, wind, cold).
• Intermediate to advanced skiing or snowboarding ability to access a mid-mountain location.
• Confidence operating a snowmobile while pulling a loaded trailer.
• Previous food service or preparation experience (an asset).
• A current Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 3 certification (an asset).
