Job description

Wesbell is seeking a QA for our Milverton Ontario facility. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving our Quality Management System and ensuring that all steel shipped meets Wesbell standards and customer specifications. The role also involves verifying compliance with welding, hole placement, spacing, and layout requirements in the shop.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include

• Oversee that all steel shipped matches drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors for incoming and outgoing parts to ensure accuracy.
• Organize weekly paperwork and materials to facilitate correct and efficient shipments to the galvanizer.
• Assist the QA leadhand with inspections and related tasks.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Assess product specifications to meet customer requirements.
• Review and maintain calibration systems as necessary.
• Ensure shop tools and items conform to required specifications.

Education (Theoretical Training)

• Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Job Requirements & Experience

• Steel fabrication/shop experience required. Compensation will depend on experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of structural steel drawings, fabrication, and QA processes.
• Experience with welding, equipment operation, and overhead cranes is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Professional attitude and team-oriented mindset.
