TSINY is seeking Maintenance Workers for Residential and Out-Patient Positions in the New York City Area (Queens & Bronx).

Maintenance Staff Salary: $20.90 Per Hour

Must possess a Valid Driver's License.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing diverse duties including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of facilities and equipment, adhering to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems to support the sites' goals and objectives.

Essential Functions

1. Coordinate with supervisor to plan daily tasks.
2. Clean all bathrooms thoroughly.
3. Sweep and mop building floors.
4. Empty garbage cans and dispose of waste appropriately.
5. Prepare extra cleaning materials on Fridays for the weekend.
6. Collect staff payroll bi-weekly.
7. Schedule employee evaluations with supervisor.
8. Drive staff for personal needs shopping.
9. Transport staff to appointments.
10. Pick up medications from the pharmacy.
11. Order and collect supplies for the residence.
12. Drive staff to recreational activities.
13. Inspect residence boilers, hot water, and heating systems.
14. Prepare rooms for new residents.
15. Replace lighting fixtures.
16. Perform minor repairs on sinks, showers, toilets, light fixtures, windows, and doors, not requiring outside contractors.
17. Maintain residence vehicles.
18. Shovel snow as needed.
19. Perform minor plastering and painting tasks.
20. Assist with maintenance and driving needs across residential components as required.
21. Be able to sit or stand as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
22. Walk on level surfaces for short periods, with or without accommodation.
23. Reach above shoulder heights, below waist, or lift as necessary to handle documents or materials, with or without accommodation.
24. Possess a valid driver’s license.
25. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities

High school diploma or equivalent, relevant experience, ability to lift at least 50 lbs, and a valid New York State Driver's License with a safe driving record.
