Brandt is currently looking to fill a Vice President of Public Relations & Community Engagement position in our Regina, SK location.
Responsibilities
The role of VP of Public Relations & Community Engagement is to understand our business objectives and leverage their specialized knowledge of the media and other non-market communication channels to help achieve corporate goals. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Duties & Responsibilities
Media Relations
- Building strong relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets
- Building strong relationships with industry publications and their authors/editors
- Working closely with the Advertising, Brand, and Corporate Voice teams to curate content for distribution
- Implementing and managing Digital Engagement tools to maximize the organization’s share of voice and sentiment across all mediums
Government Relations
- Staying informed of current and future government policies that may affect the organization and its customers, and working with internal stakeholders to respond
- Developing and managing an organizational strategy that strengthens relationships with government officials
- Developing materials for internal and external use, including position statements, talking points, white papers, etc.
- Collaborating with credible industry advocates to support areas of common interest
- Participating in lobbying efforts for key government policy considerations when applicable
Sponsorship & Community Engagement
- Crafting and managing a comprehensive sponsorship strategy to maximize the organization’s impact in the communities where we operate
- Strategically utilizing sponsorship dollars to achieve corporate objectives through community engagement initiatives
- Leading high-impact sponsorships to ensure maximum activation
- Quantifying the value of community opportunities to optimize investment-to-impact ratio
Internal Communications
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their challenges and opportunities
- Developing strategies to create and distribute effective internal communication tactics (emails, town halls, newsletters, publications, employee contests, etc.)
- Exploring and implementing internal communication/engagement tools such as Facebook Workplace, Microsoft Yammer, or others
Issues Management
- Leading the development of issue management strategies as necessary
Public Speaking
- Representing Brandt at events such as tradeshows, press conferences, and other special events from time to time
