DMC Recruitment Group is pleased to be partnering with Metro Testing + Engineering. Metro Testing is proud to be one of Western Canada’s most respected materials testing and engineering firms. We are seeking a Business Development Manager to build and lead their sales and marketing function. Based at Metro’s head office in the Lower Mainland, this individual will oversee business development efforts across all branch locations and play a central role in expanding Metro’s presence throughout BC and Alberta.

This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building the department, shaping strategy, and setting a new standard for how Metro engages with clients, including developers, engineering consultants, general contractors, municipalities, and the Ministry of Transportation.

The Role :

The Business Development Leader will :

• Lead a cross-functional team of seven, including sales representatives, an estimator, a marketing coordinator, and administrative support
• Develop and execute a scalable strategy for acquiring and growing enterprise-level client relationships
• Act as a key representative of the Metro brand, with the technical credibility to engage with senior decision-makers across development, civil construction, and engineering sectors
• Collaborate closely with branch leadership to support local growth plans and ensure alignment across teams
• Establish structure, process, and performance expectations across the sales and marketing function

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader in business development or technical sales, preferably with a background in construction, engineering, or professional services. They will be equally comfortable refining strategy, managing people, and engaging directly with clients in the field.
