Job Summary:

The IT Server Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the IT infrastructure. This role requires a combination of technical skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the IT systems. The IT Server Administrator's responsibilities will include network server, VMWare, data storage, desktop, data center/hosting, VoIP, video conferencing, and various other projects within Wisemen.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Provide support for Level 1-3 escalated issues.
2. Provide daily operational support for LAN/WAN networks, and WiFi, including firewalls.
3. Support infrastructure deployment efforts.
4. Heavy VMWare support.
5. Provide Firewall support using SonicWall.
6. Develop, modify, and improve client infrastructure solutions.
7. Manage the Zendesk help desk system for open issues, and customer communications.
8. Assist in the building of new networks to design specifications.
9. Possess effective written and communication skills.
10. Ability to meet deadlines and bring systems-level projects to completion.
11. Updates project plans for IT projects including objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, and schedules.
12. Assists in specialist projects as requested by Senior IT personnel.
13. Participates in IT meetings, workshops, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
14. Deploys desktops, laptops, monitors, phones, and peripherals as instructed by Senior IT personnel.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
2. Proficiency in managing and supporting various IT infrastructure components such as servers, storage systems, networks, and cloud environments.
3. 2+ years of experience with VMWare Virtualization.
4. 2+ years of experience with PowerShell.
5. 2+ years of experience with Azure Active Directory.
6. Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), virtualization technologies, and database management.
7. 2+ years of experience with Sonicwall NetExtender VPN.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
9. Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, systems analysis, or a related role.
2. Familiar with the Zendesk Ticketing System.
3. Experience in working in a VLan environment.
4. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects.
5. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, MCSE Certification) are a plus.
