Job Title : Release Manager Position Type : Full-time / Contract Location : Remote / Canada Responsibilities : Coordinate the scheduling and communication of planned releases, ensuring alignment and transparency with all stakeholders. Conduct release readiness reviews before deployment and post-release assessments to evaluate success and identify improvement areas. Maintain detailed documentation of release plans, dependencies, and outcomes to foster transparency and collaboration. Standardize and streamline release practices across teams to reduce complexity and enhance operational efficiency. Monitor key release metrics to ensure adherence to established procedures, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Address and mitigate risks to ensure smooth and predictable releases. Required Skills : Proven experience in release management, program / project management, or software quality roles. Strong knowledge of release processes, including scheduling, tracking, and managing dependencies. Proficiency with release management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow or similar platforms). Familiarity with source control systems and branching strategies. Strong understanding of CI / CD pipelines and deployment processes. Skilled in risk assessment and mitigation to ensure stability during releases. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on improving efficiency and quality. Effective communicator, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders. Experience working in cross-functional teams and facilitating collaboration across departments. Knowledge of agile development methodologies and iterative release cycles.
