Responsibilities

1. Prepare and process import and export documents and other forms on behalf of clients
2. Inform clients on cargo space, destinations, rates, and departures
3. Arrange payment of duties, taxes, storage, and transportation of imported goods
4. Negotiate rates and terms
5. Prepare contracts and other documents
6. Quote duty and tax rates on commodities
7. Advise clients on tariff systems
8. Explain features when purchasing or selling for clients
9. Advise on letters of credit and insurance requirements
10. Negotiate purchase or sale prices
