Job Description

The Sales Engineer (Smart Safety and Logistics) at Grantek will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Practice group. This role involves activities such as pre-sales, preliminary engineering assessments, machine risk assessments, proposal development, technical marketing, sales engagements, and supporting the Delivery team. The Sales Engineer is responsible for Client Experience, Pricing, Marketing, and technical guidance on project execution.

  1. Create comprehensive proposals based on client strategies.
  2. Assess pricing, identify risks, and develop winning proposals.
  3. Present proposals effectively to clients.
  4. Design and present customer solutions and architectures to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  5. Translate complex technical concepts into clear presentations.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with key clients; understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  7. Collaborate with the Practice group to inform decisions and contribute to strategy development.
  8. Work with the quality department to ensure standards are met.
  9. Analyze problems, identify trends, and suggest improvements.
  10. Follow up with clients to identify potential new work and observe emerging needs.
  11. Conduct machine safety assessments and consulting services for clients.
  12. Support sales activities alongside Practice leaders and Delivery Managers.
  13. Provide case studies with the Marketing Team to showcase success stories.
  14. Coordinate with the Delivery Team to manage ongoing projects and account strategies.
  15. Work with the Engineering Team to support proposal development as subject matter experts.
  16. Participate in planning to meet objectives.
  17. Engage in company decisions, strategic planning, and direction setting.

Qualifications

  • Possess at least one of the following: B.Sc. in Engineering/Electrical Engineering or related field, or a Technology Diploma/Certification.
  • Certification from TUV Rhineland or Nord is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in team-based environments, account management, and sales roles.
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes, engineering design principles, and machine safety automation projects.
  • Experience in machine safety aspects of automation projects.
  • Knowledge in project management, strategic pricing, and business strategy.
  • Excellent mentorship and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Customer-focused with a results-driven, organized, and adaptable mindset.
