Job Summary

What will be your role?

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for leading the company’s efforts to expand and maintain relationships with Authorized System Integrator Clients and Distributors. You will develop sales strategies in designated geographic areas and build strong relationships with customers, establishing strategic partnerships and fostering customer loyalty. The RSM will focus on achieving sales, profitability, and client recruitment objectives, representing the company's products and services, potentially focusing on specific solutions or client markets. The RSM reports directly to the National Sales Manager.

Accountabilities and Performance Measures

  • Achieve sales quotas within assigned client accounts
  • Meet profitability expectations
  • Complete client account plans meeting company standards
  • Maintain high client satisfaction ratings
  • Complete training and development objectives timely
  • Influence at all organizational levels
  • Potential to assume higher impact roles over time
  • Utilize innovative approaches for revenue and market share growth

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with new key authorized system integrators and maintain existing client relationships
  • Coordinate with company personnel to meet client objectives
  • Meet targets for profitable sales volume and strategic goals
  • Lead joint business planning with clients
  • Develop and implement account planning tools
  • Assess and clarify client needs proactively
  • Selling through client organizations to end users and influencers
  • Promote Distech in the market, including working with consulting engineers for project specifications
  • Manage potential channel conflicts with effective communication
  • Provide energy efficiency solutions addressing end-user needs
  • Lead new product promotion and adoption in client channels
  • Ensure client compliance with agreements
  • Drive adoption of company programs among clients
  • Maintain accurate CRM tracking of leads and opportunities
  • Recruit and qualify new channel clients

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

  • Bilingual in French and English for service across Canada and USA
  • Four-year university or college degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation System channels
  • Experience in B2B sales management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience engaging with design, manufacturing, engineering, and contracting channels
  • Experience with technically complex control products and distribution channels

Other Requirements

  • Extensive travel required; valid driver’s license needed
  • Valid passport required
  • Position requires maintaining a home-based office in Quebec
