Are you a trailblazing Sales Director with a knack for charting new territories? NorthStar Utilities is on the hunt for a sales hunter like you to drive our net new sales in western North America while growing our existing account business in Ontario.

This role requires a sales maverick who can craft compelling presentations, write persuasive pitches, and manage multiple projects with ease and precision. Attention to detail is key in aligning the big picture with the finer intricacies of our sales strategy. We seek more than a Sales Director; we need a Hunter. If you have a proven track record in crafting successful responses to municipal RFPs, collaborating with marketing to generate top-of-funnel opportunities, and leveraging data for refining sales and market strategies, you might be the perfect fit.

This remote role is open to candidates anywhere in Canada and the US.

What Your Impact Will Be
  1. Develop and execute a sales prospecting plan to penetrate target accounts and capture significant market share within the North American utilities market.
  2. Source new sales opportunities through creative outbound prospecting and inbound lead generation programs.
  3. Effectively deliver product demonstrations to prospects and customers to showcase the value of NorthStar solutions.
  4. Serve as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers to achieve desired business outcomes.
  5. Drive event attendance for webinars, trade shows, conferences, executive dinners, and other events.
  6. Manage the RFP sales process from identification to win/loss analysis.
  7. Collaborate with the RFP Bid-Manager and subject matter experts to develop and maintain RFP content.
  8. Use Salesforce.com disciplinedly to record all communications with leads, contacts, and accounts.
  9. Travel between 15%-30% may be required.
What We Are Looking For
  1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, marketing, or a technical discipline.
  2. 5+ years in an enterprise sales role responding to municipal RFPs.
  3. Experience delivering product demonstrations that create value.
  4. Experience generating RFP responses.
  5. Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and RFP.io or similar RFP automation tools (nice to have).
  6. A proven track record of quick learning and exceeding goals.
