Job description

As a Functional Specialist, you will make an impact by ensuring seamless integration and functionality of various systems within the organization. With a focus on Azure .Net Framework and MS SQL Server the specialist will drive efficiency and innovation. You will be a valued member of the diverse team and work closely with collaborators and teams.

In this role, you will

• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure the integration of Azure and SAP GK POS systems aligns with business objectives.

• Develop and implement solutions using .Net Framework to enhance system performance and user experience.

• Apply MS SQL Server for maintaining and optimizing database systems to ensure data integrity and accessibility.

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for system enhancements.

• Provide technical support and fixing for POS Basics ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

• Conduct regular system audits and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

• Apply standard methodologies for system security and data protection across all platforms.

• Facilitate training sessions for team members to enhance their understanding of system functionalities and updates.

• Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for scalability and future growth.

• Collaborate with collaborators to gather feedback and implement necessary changes to improve system functionality.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all technical implementations.

• Drive innovation by researching and integrating new technologies that align with company goals.

• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations changes and procedures for future reference.

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)

• Possess extensive experience with Azure demonstrating the ability to manage cloud-based solutions effectively.

• Have a solid background in SAP GK POS showcasing proficiency in handling point-of-sale systems.

• Display expertise in POS Basics ensuring seamless operations and user satisfaction.

• Demonstrate proficiency in .Net Framework with a track record of developing robust applications.

• Exhibit advanced skills in MS SQL Server capable of managing complex databases efficiently.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client in Vancouver. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $82,500 – $96,500 CAD per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
