Overview

We are seeking a Computational Research Expert to join our Research & Development Center (R&DC).

R&DC conducts strategic research, development, and demonstration programs in support of Aramco's drive for innovation. We are currently pursuing several technology development opportunities in strategic and downstream research.

Your primary role is to conduct research on emerging computing technologies and their application to solve grand challenges related to CO2 emissions and renewable energy through development of innovative materials. This important role will enjoy access to one of the largest computing clusters worldwide, innovation hubs that accelerate technology development, and foster multi-disciplinary collaboration with leading institutes, as well as state-of-the-art laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate, you will be required to:

1. Develop and lead the execution of research projects and/or programs focusing on developing novel technologies in AI for material discovery, optimization, and control.
2. Identify collaboration opportunities with leading institutes and organizations to explore technology commercialization.
3. Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure deployment of in-house technology options.
4. Conduct outlook studies on emerging technologies in accelerated material discovery.
5. Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computational Science or Engineering; a PhD is preferred.
6. Have at least 5 years of research experience, including postdoctoral work.
7. Possess a proven track record of conducting advanced technical projects, connecting basic science research with industrial applications.
