The Opportunity

We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our young and dynamic team based in Abbotsford, BC. This position will interface directly with our clients and work closely with all StructureCraft departments to deliver high quality wood structures safely, on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work closely with a Project Manager on larger projects or in a leadership capacity on smaller projects.
2. Plan, direct and lead in the delivery of timber construction projects from award to completion while achieving safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
3. Define tasks and required resources.
4. Prepare and manage project budget, schedule of values, progress billing and change orders.
5. Create schedules and coordinate resources to meet project deliverables.
6. Understand project scope and contract terms to ensure full compliance.
7. Prepare RFQ's, evaluate bids, prepare POs and Subcontracts, set and track delivery milestones.
8. Track and report on project deliverables.
9. Lead quality assurance.
10. Provide onsite construction support.
11. Present to management reports on progress as well as problems and solutions.
12. Manage project changes and delays to ensure the Company is fairly compensated.
13. Accurately estimate changes within contract requirements.
14. Evaluate and assess results of project.

Skills And Qualifications

1. Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Engineering.
2. We accept new grads directly out of post-secondary school.
3. Some construction related project experience is an asset.
4. Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
5. Excellent resource, planning, and time management skills.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Superior written and verbal communication skills.
8. Strong skills in Word, Excel and MS Project (or similar scheduling software).

Travel will be required for this position. Must be able to travel to the US. Pay premium is applied for out of town work. Travel expenses including accommodations, transportation and food are covered by the Company.
