Department Overview :

The Business Acceptance department is responsible for overseeing and validating all products and services launched by the Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation (CDCC). The objective is to ensure the quality of the CDCC platform in order to maximize investment value for the business and its partners while mitigating the associated implementation risks. The department collaborates in designing efficient and innovative business solutions, writing internal and industry business requirements, coordinating and performing user acceptance testing, industry testing and defining implementation strategies for business units and Industry participants.

CDCC Business Acceptance is a team of experts in the clearing industry with strong skills in testing, acceptance and operationalization. Its success is measured by the delivery of solutions that meet the quality criteria of the clearinghouse's clients, their partners, CDCC's own teams as well as other parts of TMX, allowing them to achieve their strategic objectives

Role Summary :

You will plan and execute all test activities required to perform end-to-end user and Industry acceptance testing to identify potential defects and implementation risks. You will support the UAT test team by preparing required environments, configurations and injection scripts to meet the defined test strategies. You will also perform the required test results validations to ensure encouraged results are achieved and automated when possible. For the sake of synergy and collaboration, you will work closely with the CDCC operations team, CDCC Risk operations team and the cluster in order to increase the testing coverage in the context of UAT or industry testing.

Key accountabilities :

Execute the required activities to conduct the User Acceptance Tests (UAT) in accordance with the test strategy for software upgrades, new processes and new products.

Create, execute and coordinate the execution of test scripts to cover end-to-end processes involving different business units and market participants.

Manage and operate test environments and applicable configurations to execute the planned tests scenarios and scripts.

Develop required test scenarios for specific tests

Build the required injection input scripts and automate the validation of the corresponding test results.

Validate that test results meet expectations and any gaps are documented with the corresponding impacts to business units and participants.

Troubleshoot and support the different stakeholders interacting with the test environments.

Interact with the different technical groups to identify issues and solve problems while minimizing disruptions to users.

Update procedures when applicable to operate the different system environments injection and validation tools.

Propose process and system improvements to increase testing efficiency, validation accuracy and reduce execution issues and risks.

Operate the GTE test environments to allow Members to perform their internal tests by simulating the production environment.

Responsible for preparing the required simulation tests for CDCC's CSAE 3416 to meet audit requirements.

Must haves :

University Degree, Business Administration or equivalent

Minimum of five 5 years of meaningful experience in the Securities Industry

Highly motivated self-starter who is flexible and goal oriented

Self-confident, positive attitude and pragmatic

Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills

Technical skills : Google office applications and / or MS office suite of products

Must be reliable, results oriented, customer-focused and attentive to details

Ability to adapt in a changing environment

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.

Experience working in a team- oriented, collaborative environment

Ability to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure

Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is required, as this role involves regular interaction with partners and stakeholders in both languages.

Nice to haves :

Canadian Securities Course

Previous experience in capital markets industry or securities back office processing

Previous experience in computer sciences, quality assurance or Risk management

Previous experience in Financial Services and / or Capital Markets Industry

Experience with UNIX operating system

Programming knowledge in VBA or other languages

Experience using Testrail or similar tools an asset
