Senior Estimator – Water/Wastewater Construction

Maple Reinders is currently looking to add an experienced Senior Estimator to our team in Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of civil projects with a focus on Water / Wastewater.

We are a growing organization and are continually winning new work! Whether the opportunities are Plan Spec, Design/Build, or Construction Management, our Estimator will prepare tenders from concept to submission with an emphasis on understanding and evaluating risk. We want you to be engaged and continually grow in this role – we’re not just about quantity takeoffs!

The successful candidate will have experience with the following:

• Complete the entire bid from the concept to completion of the tender
• Identify the true cost of items (labour, material and equipment etc.) at every stage of the process
• Determine along the way if the cost of the items are feasible to the owner
• Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with sub-contractors, architects and consultants
• Suggest and explore creative value engineering opportunities
• See beyond the plans and specifications
• Coach and mentor junior team members

We are looking for an Estimator with past experience working for a general contractor who currently have:

• 10+ years experience estimating multi-million dollar Water/Wastewater projects or working in a combined role of Project Manager & Estimator in Water / Wastewater
• Mechanical experience in the food & beverage or chemical industry is also an asset
• Process Mechanical experience preferred
• A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, Red Seal Certification (mechanical related) or a combination of education and industry experience

Salary Range: $115,000 - $160,000 (Depending on experience)
