Job Description

Wieland is hiring a Quality Manager based in Ontario, CA . The role is fully on-site and involves managing and deploying the Quality Management Systems at the site, coaching staff, providing technical support, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety and support safety initiatives using CI thinking.
• Coordinate resolution of quality issues related to vendor materials.
• Monitor incoming materials and production quality.
• Address customer complaints with corrective actions using problem-solving methodologies.
• Maintain quality system documentation and conduct internal audits.
• Develop inspection and testing procedures for new products.
• Manage calibration and testing of measurement equipment.
• Utilize software for quality data analysis.
• Coordinate quality standards across departments and with customers.
• Develop staff through training and manage management review meetings.
• Develop lean manufacturing metrics and provide engineering support to other departments.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in quality systems, audits, and problem-solving tools like 8D, FMEA, SPC, R&R.
• Knowledge of polymer chemistry and metallurgy.
• Strong mathematical skills and computer proficiency, including VB and Excel programming.
