About Us: Rimex's TyreSense is a leading provider of tire temperature and pressure management solutions in mining/industrial markets. Our team is dedicated to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Job Description: We are looking for an entry-level Electronics Assembler to join our production operations team in Victoria, BC. The ideal candidate should be proficient in electronics manufacturing and possess strong technical communication skills, with the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions. Strong soldering skills and keen attention to detail are valuable assets. Our team of assemblers is dedicated to producing high-quality products.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Set up test jigs and perform functional pass/fail tests on products.
  • Prepare print circuit boards by adding or removing through-hole and surface-mount components.
  • Build cable assemblies: measure and cut cables or wires, cutting and stripping of wire, crimping and pinning connectors, using heat shrink, cable braid, or loom, and verifying harness functionality.
  • Use a digital multi meter (DMM) to manually check voltages and continuity.
  • Inspect and verify the integrity of solder joints, re-work solder joints as required.
  • Identify electronic components and accessories.
  • Mix and apply epoxy resins, silastic, and adhesives.
  • Clean and maintain safe work areas.
  • Communicate with other team members.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Excellent fine pitch soldering skills.
  • Ability to work alone as well as a team member.
  • Ability to follow work instructions written or verbal.
  • Speak, read and write in English.
  • Minimum high school diploma with post-secondary education in electronics an asset.
  • Be able to operate various hand and power tools.

Selected applicants will be required to demonstrate their fine pitch soldering skills and understanding of electronics.
