Account Manager Strategic and Key Accounts

What you’ll be working on
- Identify, build and develop new and existing relationships with Strategic Partners; surface opportunities to improve the effectiveness of partnership arrangements, develop and manage mutually beneficial working relationships
- Identify emerging unique business requirements and ensure documentation of policy and procedures accurately reflect the practices in place
- Provide information to Strategic Partners on Empire Life products and offer array; highlight the benefits and features and guide Strategic Partners in the determination and understanding of value and fit for their business and customers
- Build relationships within Empire Life in order to leverage organization during implementation, ongoing servicing and escalate service issues accordingly
- Represent the Empire Life brand through regular interaction with Distribution Partners
- Establish quote guidelines including subsidy direction for internal stakeholders; work collaboratively on the application of subsidy within established parameters; ensure implementation and issue concerns are resolved; support the development and execution of business case to support sales decisions
- Work within renewal parameters for internal stakeholders; work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure business is renewed within subsidy guidelines and persistency levels are achieved
- Act as escalation point for internal stakeholders to support the resolution of quote, issue, service, administration and renewal issues
- Manage subsidy and acquisition for assigned block of business; review regularly with internal stakeholders to ensure business is profitable and quotas are achieved
- Prepare reporting and identify key observations to guide effective regularly scheduled business review meetings with Strategic Partners
- Support new partnership business development activity including needs assessment, pricing strategy, proposal and finalist presentation
- Collaborate with Core business partners to ensure best practices and emerging
What we’re looking for you to have
- Completion of a university degree
- 3+ years work experience in insurance/financial services industry in group benefits with an understanding of Distribution Partner needs
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
- In-depth knowledge of underwriting principles, technical pricing capabilities and group insurance product and policy provisions
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, internet and database software
- Knowledge of the group insurance products and sales activities of competitors
- Knowledge of employment legislation as it relates to employee benefits
- GBA or working towards
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to think logically, analyze and solve problems
- Well-developed communication, negotiation, persuasion and presentation skills
- Well-developed sales and marketing skills

Working Conditions
