Responsibilities:
Track and categorize monthly expenses, regularly compare actual spending against the budget to identify variances and collaborate with the Procurement team to find cost-saving opportunities each quarter.
Verify completion of contracted work to required standards and specifications prior to approving related invoices.
Collaborate with various departments, such as Manufacturing, Security, and Finance to optimize processes, improve services, and avoid unnecessary spending.
Communicate effectively with team, contractors and suppliers.
Providing administrative support to the Facilities department. Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure efficiency and productivity, including performing administrative tasks, and managing vendor interactions.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Organize and participate in team-building activities and social events.
Oversee locker rooms, uniforms and safety footwear to ensure proper use and maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
Strong organizational skills.
Problem solving skills; willingness and flexibility to foresee and overcome obstacles.
Self-starter with a passion for detail.
Knowledge of safety procedures in accordance with WHIMIS, OHSA, as well as local regulations.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Strong computer skills (e.g. MS. Excel, Word and Power Point).
Experience working in a manufacturing facility or maintenance department is an asset.
Previous experience in record keeping.
Experience working in an environment regulated by Health Canada also considered an asset.
Experience with adhering to standard operating procedures.
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.

This is a contract position (expected 12 months) based on-site in Smiths Falls, ON.
