A leading national firm in the HVAC sector is seeking a driven Sales Engineer to support their growth on Vancouver Island. This role involves managing client relationships, developing sales strategies, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance commercial opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a background in Mechanical Engineering and experience in sales engineering, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Our client, an innovative national ‘Wholesale Distribution’ leader in the HVAC and mechanical sector, is experiencing significant growth. They are seeking a technical, driven, and personable Sales Engineer to support their expansion within the Commercial segment on Vancouver Island. As part of the commercial team, you will lead, expand, and manage the opportunity pipeline while maintaining existing client relationships.
The Sales Engineer will strengthen relationships with clients involved in the design and build of HVAC systems. Experience working with firms at all levels, from executives to engineers, is essential. The role requires creating and executing strategies to capitalize on all areas of commercial business within the client’s scope. Your strategic sales skills will be demonstrated through managing contracts, ensuring detailed product specifications, and formulating sales strategies and forecasts. Collaboration with multiple departments and stakeholders, both internally and externally, is vital.
This position involves managing a strategic book of business, conducting lunch & learn sessions, and engaging in networking, prospecting, and targeted outreach. Hosting meetings and sessions with consulting firms, mechanical contractors, and engineering firms are key responsibilities.
