Primary Scope of Role :
- Manage and oversee multiple heavy civil construction projects from start to finish
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Understand estimate costs, help and manage project budgets, monitor and ensure projects are completed within budget.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
- Lead project teams and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
- Mentor project coordinators and junior level staff to facilitate their development.
- Assign roles and responsibilities for junior level staff.
- Coordinate and liaise with external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, vendors, and government agencies.
- Monitor project performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans and compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management to support the overall objectives of the company.
Position Requirements :
- 10+ years of experience in project management in the road building and construction industry
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
- Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment.
- Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
