Job description

Our client, a major player in the insurance and investment management industry with a global presence and offices across multiple continents, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join their Data Integration & Performance Platform team. This role supports critical data systems that power investment decision-making across the organization.

What You'll Do:

1. Lead business analysis for both Agile and Waterfall projects focused on data and performance platform enhancements
2. Document and communicate project scope, objectives, and timelines
3. Gather and analyze requirements from investment teams and finance stakeholders
4. Design complex investment reporting solutions using SQL, SSRS, OLAP, and Power BI
5. Define and execute comprehensive test plans
6. Implement change management principles throughout project delivery
7. Partner with technology teams on system enhancements and upgrades
8. Serve as subject matter expert for data warehouse and performance measurement platforms
9. Develop support documentation and maintain data dictionaries
10. Monitor and resolve production data issues to ensure platform stability

Requirements

What You Bring:

1. 5+ years business analysis experience supporting data warehouse platforms
2. Expert knowledge of business analysis methodologies and requirements gathering techniques
3. Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases, ETL/ELT tools and design patterns
4. Strong understanding of investment performance measurement and attribution methodologies
5. Experience with the investment lifecycle and data domains for various financial instruments
6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex data projects simultaneously
7. Background working with investment applications such as Eagle, SimCorp, FactSet, Bloomberg or Aladdin
8. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or related field

Bonus Points:

1. Azure cloud platform and/or Snowflake experience
2. CFA and/or CBAP certifications
3. Experience with generative AI tools and prompt engineering
