Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quarry Manager to join our dynamic team in the CNC stone fabrication and stone quarry industry. The Quarry Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the quarry, overseeing all operations both on site and in the office, managing workers, and coordinating production while monitoring all quarry activities. This position requires strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of CNC stone saws.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of quarry workers on-site.
2. Delegate tasks and perform responsibilities assigned by the Owner to help workers meet production goals.
3. Keep track of materials and inventory needs, document all repairs performed, and note upcoming repairs for preventative maintenance.
4. Assist in planning and coordinating quarry extraction and production in conjunction with the Owner.
5. Ensure compliance with OSHA & WHMIS regulations, company policies, and procedures.
6. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
7. Prepare and conduct regular toolbox talks and safety meetings.

Qualifications

1. Experience in a supervisory role within the stone quarry industry is an asset.
2. Excellent skills in health & safety awareness, WHMIS, and WHSE practices.
3. Valid driver’s license.
4. Experience operating equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, CNC stone saws, and shot blasters is preferred.
